Bertandang: Norhidayah & Yussuf at Gombak

Add comments

COMING BACK from all the fusses of setting up a studio and office, I would like to continue my posting with this 1st entry of 2010 the assignment at Gombak for Norhidayah & Yussuf whom they hired me for their solemnization and reception at Segamat few months ago.

As you see our outdoor session was held at the legendary Kuala Lumpur Railway Station on a rather rainy evening. For your information, this location wasn’t the intended location for our outdoor, indeed it was to be FRIM in Kepong for that matter. But with several technical problems we had, so we decided it is best to have it at the railway station instead.

  • Band ‘otai’. Memang power beb!

Surprisingly, their costumes for the session matched perfectly with the architecture of the surrounding area compared to FRIM which is green and brown all around. Old architecture with a mix of western & eastern elements compliment the couple’s dress & suit. My idea was to shot them standing just besides the railway while the train passes through, but unexpectedly we were barred from entering the area because we didn’t make a written request and the necessary payment. Arggh, I never thought these kind of place needed written request, let alone ‘photography fees’! But anyway, the surrounding areas of the station were good enough it seems.

  • Yeop cendol doing what he does best, serving the masses!

  • The smoothest version of Hotel California I’ve ever heard

So we spent approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for the session until it reached darkness that my flash and it’s f4 could not cope anymore. Although we didn’t got to go to the place we really wanted to go (FRIM), but our plan B seems to be a success nonetheless. We had our time in front of the Heritage Hotel entrance, the underpass tunnel between 2 blocks and in front of the management building, and that was the first time I shot a couple at the railway station. Thanks to Hidayah & Yussuf for hiring me to capture your precious moments from the start to the finish. Now just wait for the album to reach your doorstep, huhu. Regarding the railway station, definitely will come again if the need arises!!

Anyone? Ada bran..??.

  • The Groom’s father takes center stage.

  • Nice try ladies!

  • Nice architecture

  • Making a last ditch proposal for their honeymoon trip! Not too late mate! Hahaha….
